EXAMPLE: FEAR (A big demon/strongman with many under him. Listed here are symptoms/ways the spirit of fear works in us)

-Anxiety

-Stress/tension

-Dread

-Worry

-Insecurity

-Inadequacy

-Inferiority

-Torment/anguish

-Horror/terror

-Timidity/shyness

-Nightmares/insomnia

-Think the worst/negative thinking

-Paranoia/sense of danger

-Panic attacks

-Any phobias (examples: fear of heights, fear of spiders, fear of snakes, fear of sickness, fear of certain foods that you think will harm you, fear of man/people, etc.)

-Any fears you can name, that control any aspect of your life (fear of death, fear of the future, fear for your children, fear for your health, fear of rejection, fear of failure, fear of evil/black magic/curses, etc.)

This list is not exhaustive!  Also, different sources will ascribe lesser demons/sins/symptoms under different strongmen- you will find a large diversity in understanding of how the demonic hierarchies work if you research.  This again is because these hierarchies are not described in the Bible and so are more found through experiences and revelation through the Holy Spirit.  They also likely overlap.  Example: it is likely that occultism can also cause some of the symptoms of fear or infirmity, etc.  God will tell you what to “call” anything that you need to repent of if you are seeking Him and willing to surrender in your spirit.  He often brings to my mind words, phrases, sentences or shown me past events, actions or words that I need to go back and repent through.  Any past sin is important to surrender in repentance so any open doors to demonic or evil influences can be closed through the work of the Holy Spirit.

***The most important thing is to give God the full authority and power and remember this is always about your relationship with Him.  It is not good to concentrate on the demonic or sin issues, but to remember God loves you and wants you to concentrate on Him to lead you on your journey in every area of your life.
